Abstract: In 2022, the FDA issued final regulations establishing a category of over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids, aimed at making hearing aids more affordable and accessible for millions of Americans living with mild-to-moderate hearing loss. OTC devices are beginning to change how patients, clinicians, and the industry operate and interact with each other. In our technology-centric world, it’s important to meet the patient where they are comfortable, whether that’s in your office or remotely.
