Abstract: The number one concern reported by patients with hearing loss is difficulty understanding speech in noise. The Audible Contrast Threshold (ACT™) test is the fastest method to accurately quantify a person’s real-world ability to hear in noise. ACT™, developed by the Interacoustics Research Unit, does this using a non-linguistic, contrasting stimulus, providing a personalized test experience and results that are used to directly guide the fitting of advanced features in hearing aids. Join us as we learn about ACT™, the first test that provides clinicians with objective data to predict aided speech in noise performance.
