Shuang Qi is currently a fourth-year PhD student dedicated in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas. She is interested in investigating the factors contributing to speech recognition deficits in noisy environments and exploring innovative methods to improve the speech recognition performance for individuals with normal and impaired hearing. Shuang is currently collaborating in the Hearing Health Lab at UTD with Dr. Linda Thibodeau, actively focusing on her dissertation topic on listening effort within a cohort of typical hearing listeners.
