Samantha Hauser received her AuD from Vanderbilt University in 2018. She was a clinical audiologist at Easterseals Center for Better Hearing in Connecticut for three years before joining the PhD program at Purdue University in the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences Department. Under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Heinz and Dr. Hari Bharadwaj, Samantha's work aims to improve the diagnostic specificity of clinical hearing testing. Specifically, she is evaluating a test battery to identify subtypes of sensorineural hearing loss that reflect an individual's underlying profile of cochlear pathophysiology. Her thesis work is funded by an NIDCD F32 for Audiologists.
