Blythe Kitner is a Clinical Associate Professor at Northern Illinois University for the past 12 years. While at Northern, she teaches 3 graduate vestibular courses, completes research in balance assessment and treatment, and provides clinical services from 3 to end of life for balance and hearing.
She began her career in pharmacology and genetics research at the Medical College of Wisconsin where she published 25 peer reviewed articles. After working in basic science research for 18 years, she received her Doctorate from Rush University in 2009. Her work experience included a variety of sites: hospital, neurology, Veterans, and children's hospitals since graduation. Currently she is completing research in the areas of oVEMP assessment technique, aging of the oVEMP and the efferent system.
