Lynne E. Bernstein is a Professor in the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences Department of the George Washington University. She has conducted extensive research on speech perception and multisensory processing in normal hearing adults, congenitally deaf adults, and older adults with age-related hearing loss. Her expertise ranges across methods from experimental psychology and cognitive neuroscience. She was Program Director for the Cognitive Neuroscience Program of the National Science Foundation for five years. Her recent work focuses on perceptual learning of speech and on multisensory processing in adults.
