Scott Seeman, Ph.D., CCC-A, Associate Professor in Audiology has been at Illinois State since 2010. He has a M.S. in Audiology from Kent State University and a Ph.D in Hearing Science from the Ohio State University. He has clinical experiences in a variety of settings and teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the Hearing Sciences. His research interests as of late are in two general areas: (1) Speech perception in noise, including the impacts of hearing loss and cognition and listening effort, and (2) Psychosocial aspects of hearing loss. This has contributed to the field of audiology through a number of publications and research presentations. He has also contributed to the field at the state level, including through his leadership on the Illinois Speech-Language and Hearing Association Board and at the national level through his service on the American Academy of Audiology Diversity Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee.
