Sandra Velandia, AuD, F-AAA, CCC-A is an Assistant Professor in the Audiology department at the University of Miami Ear Institute. She is originally from Colombia where she received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 1994 and her Master degree (M.S) in Audiology in 1997. Later, she earned her Doctoral degree (Au.D.) in Audiology with honors from Nova Southeastern University in 2004. Dr. Velandia is also a Certified Audiology Preceptor and serves as a clinical preceptor for graduate audiology students. Her clinical and research specializations include cochlear implants and vestibular assessment for children and adults. Dr. Velandia also enjoys teaching nationally and internationally by giving presentations at conferences.
