Research Audiologist

Ethan Platt, AuD, F-AAA, CCC-A, ABAC, is a research audiologist at Boys Town National Research Hospital in the Human Auditory Development Laboratory researching outcomes of patients with Trisomy 21 for Project Include (PI Lori Leibold, PhD), as well as working within the Research Community Engagement Program to diversify the research participant pool. Dr. Platt obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Music, Theatre, and Physics from Emporia State University in 2014 and their Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2020. Before assuming their current role in Omaha, NE, Dr. Platt was a clinical pediatric audiologist at Children's Mercy Kansas City in Kansas City, MO, where they served as co-chair for the LGBTQIA+ employee resource group. They currently serve as a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) committee member and the DEIB advocate for the Student Affairs and Academic Standards Council.
