Yara Ayoub is a second year Doctor of Audiology student at Central Michigan University. She graduated from the American University of Beirut in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Audiology Sciences.
Yara has a special interest in pursuing research in the field of audiology. She has been actively engaged in reserach since her undergraduate studies, focusing specifically on the following projects: "Suitability of Standardized Jordanian-Arabic Word Lists for Word Recognition Testing of Lebanese Adults" and "Recording Otoacoustic Emissions Following Stapedectomy Surgery" and is currently working on her doctoral project: "Fitting Formula Effects on Hearing Aid Fitting for Different Degrees and Configurations of Hearing Losses", which aims at examining the effects of different fitting formulas on the acoustic and perception outcomes in order to provide clinical guidelines for clinicians during hearing aid fittings.
Yara's interests include: hearing aids, electrophysiology, and vestibular assessment and management.
