Christina Shields is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences at the University of Maryland. She completed both her bachelor’s degree in Hearing & Speech and a Clinical Doctorate in Audiology, from the University of Maryland College Park. She completed her fourth year training at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) Department of Otorhinolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery, and joined their team following graduation. Her clinical background and interests include diagnostic audiometric testing, amplification for adult patients, vestibular assessment, and tinnitus/hyperacusis evaluation and management. She has taught undergraduate level courses including introduction to hearing and speech sciences and anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the auditory system.
