2nd Author Biographical Sketch:
Xiao-Ming Sun is a professor of audiology in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Wichita State University. He was trained as an otolaryngologist in China, completed his PhD study at the University of Connecticut and postdoctoral training at the Kresge Hearing Research Institute, University of Michigan. He teaches courses in the AuD program and directs AuD and PhD students’ research. His research interests lie in the area of physiology of the cochlea, the middle ear, and the auditory efferent system, and application of physiological assessment techniques (e.g., otoacoustic emissions, auditory evoked potentials, and wideband acoustic immittance). His previous studies have been published in such leading journals as Hearing Research, Ear and Hearing, Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research, and The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America.
