Dr. Emma Alscher is an Audiologist, Clinic Coordinator, and Clinical Preceptor at UPMC in Pittsburgh. She earned her doctorate and master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Pittsburgh. As an adjunct faculty member in the University of Pittsburgh's Audiology Department, Dr. Alscher combines clinical expertise with educational leadership. Specializing in auditory and vestibular diagnostics, auditory evoked potentials, hearing aids, and cochlear implants, she brings a comprehensive approach to patient care and student education. Dr Alscher has a particular interest in the treatment of tinnitus and sound sensitivity. She is an active Certificate Holder in Tinnitus Management (CH-TM) and contributed as an invited Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the development of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Practice Portal page on Tinnitus and Hyperacusis. Dr. Alscher is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Audiology, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, American Tinnitus Association and Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology.
