Allison Young is a clinical audiologist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She grew up in Hickory, North Carolina and went to graduate school at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Allison has over 10 years of experience working in university medical centers and has been at UNC for 4 years. She works with adults in diagnostics, hearing aids, tinnitus, and cochlear implants. She has spoken at several audiology and otology conferences regarding cochlear implants and tinnitus. She works on the team at UNC focusing on expanding cochlear implant criteria and individualizing mapping for cochlear implant recipients. When not working, she enjoys running, travelling, and spending time with her family.
