Amy Hartman is Director of Clinical Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she actively contributes to Audiology education. Her primary focus is on student training, with a particular emphasis on pediatric audiology. She teaches several courses in the Au.D. program, including “Counseling for Audiologists.”
Driven by a passion for improving the lives of children with hearing loss, Dr. Hartman specializes in audiologic assessments for infants and children and central auditory processing evaluations. Beyond academia, she is deeply engaged in local and national initiatives promoting early diagnosis and treatment for children facing hearing challenges.
Dr. Hartman is involved in student research projects, concentrating on early hearing detection and intervention. Her outreach includes providing clinical services through out-of-hospital clinics for Wisconsin's Plain communities. Additionally, she organizes a summer camp tailored for children with hearing loss. She focuses on integrating academic expertise with practical experience for comprehensive hearing healthcare.
