Angela Shoup, PhD, is Executive Director of Callier Center for Communication Disorders and professor of Speech, Language and Hearing at the University of Texas at Dallas. She also has an appointment as clinical professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Shoup has published articles and textbook chapters on audiologic procedures, implantable devices, newborn hearing screening, ototoxicity, and congenital cytomegalovirus. She has been an invited speaker at national and international meetings. Among other professional activities, she served as president of the American Academy of Audiology and Texas Academy of Audiology, and she is currently Chair of the Audiology Academy of the National Academies of Practice and a member of the NAP leadership council, chair of the Guidelines and Strategic Documents Committee for the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee for the National CMV Foundation.
