Wendy Zeitlin, MSW, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work and Child Advocacy at Montclair State University in New Jersey. Her research focuses on follow-up from New Jersey's Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) program. She has explored maternal factors related to loss to follow-up (LTF) and delayed follow-up. Dr. Zeitlin has also studied EHDI follow-up in babies who are at higher risk for hearing loss as a result of conditions present before or shortly after birth. Additionally, she has conducted research looking at contextual factors that contribute to delayed or LTF among historically underserved populations within the state. Dr. Zeitlin and her colleagues are interested in moving from research to practice and policy solutions designed to improve EHDI follow-up rates within the state and nationally.
